Four species- Lykaons, Vulpinians, Castorans, and Murids- have ethnic groups indigenous to Aberbarda, and all use the Aberbardan demonym.

Duibrinach (Vulpinan) [duibɾinaʧ]: Originating from northern Mannsfod Aberbarda, this Vulpinan ethnic group has thick, dense fur in shades of grey to white. Their iris colours are typically in shades of brown, green, or blue. The skin on their noses, inner ears, and palms and soles is a light brown complexion. Like most Vulpinan ethnic groups, their pregnancies will result in two to three cubs. Foushes (Castoran) [fou̯ʃes]: Originating from Lake Fouseu and the surrounding forest in southern Flekkevåg on Aberbarda, this Castoran ethnic group has dense, waterproof fur in shades of grey to black. The skin on their nose, hands, feet, and tail has a dark brown to black complexion. Their irises are generally shades of brown or black, but red and blue are not uncommon. The paternal name will be passed from the father (or youngest parent) to child and is typically based on the profession or locale of an ancestor. Example paternal names include Quéräg (Healer) [ˈkʷuəɹɑg], Hakauéräg (Herder/Shepherd) [ɥaˈkaʊ̯əɹɑg], Shevraysi (from the city of Shevray) [ʃevɹaysi], and Vinyonnesi (from the village of Vinyonne) [vinyonnesi]. Upon marriage, the youngest will take the eldest’s family name with the matching prefix and the affix -geu [geu̯] e.g., Vello Epilla Lyétalius and Fúthav Sennovir Rgátaliusgeu.
Aberbardan location names are fairly simple, outside of Aberbarda. City and town names on Aberbarda are often based in ancient Fáelghall, ancient Röttesais, or other extinct languages (like Duibrighall or Fousais), and so their meanings have been lost. Outside of Aberbarda, city and town names will often include geographic features or be based on the name of an earlier settler to the area in Fáelghall or Röttesais or e.g., Vellokēpg (Vello’s Hill) [vellokeːpˠ], Raugebooœd (Red Woods) [ɹaʊ̯gebʊœd], and Wawabyābb (Bear River) [wawɑbʲaːbː].
